We take our clients privacy very seriously and we ask that you read this notice carefully as it contains important information on who we are, how and why we collect, store, use and share your personal data, your rights in relation to your personal data and how to contact us in the event you have a compliant.
Who we are
LSEBS Ltd collects, uses and is responsible for certain personal data about you. When we do so we are required to comply with ‘data protection regulations’ and we are responsible as a ‘data controller’ of that personal data for the purposes of those laws. How long your personal data will be kept
We will hold documents and/or information which forms part of our contract and statutory service for a minimum of 15 years. On receipt of a telephone card payment any written notes we take relating to that payment are shred immediately.
Keeping your personal data secure
We have appropriate security measures in place to prevent personal data from being accidentally lost or used or accessed in an unauthorised way.
We limit access to your personal data to those who have a genuine business need to know it. Those processing your information will do so only in an authorised manner and are subject to a duty of confidentiality.
Your rights
You have legal rights under the ‘data protection regulations’ in relation to your personal data. These are as follows:
- You can ask us to confirm whether or not we have and are using your personal data.
- You can ask that we rectify any information about you which is incorrect.
- You can ask that we erase your personal data if you withdraw your consent to us using your information.
- You can object to any use of your personal data if you believe your fundamental rights and freedoms to data protection outweigh our legitimate interest in using the information.

Complaints Procedure
At LSE Building Standards Ltd, we are committed to providing best value and the highest possible level of service to our customers. However, we recognise that there may occasionally be times when you are dissatisfied with the service we provide.
In accordance with guidance issued by the Building Safety Regulator, LSE Building Standards Ltd has a documented complaints procedure in place, as set out below.
Making a Complaint
Initial Complaint
When a complaint is first received, the member of staff responsible will be given the opportunity to resolve the matter promptly.
If, after making your initial complaint, you remain dissatisfied with the response received, you may make a formal complaint in accordance with the procedure detailed below.
Formal Complaint
If you have already spoken to us regarding your complaint, please provide the details in writing. This helps ensure that we have a full understanding of the issues raised.

At this stage, the complaint will be handled by a designated Director.
- Your complaint will be acknowledged within 7 days.
- A full response, following a review of the case, will be provided within 28 days.
You will then be given the opportunity to comment on our response before a final decision is issued.
Following the final response, the complaint will either be:
- Closed, where the matter has been resolved; or
- If unresolved, you will be directed to the Building Safety Regulator complaints procedure.
